Care and Cleaning of Product
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes when exposed to air. However, with proper storage, cleaning and wear, the look of silver can improve with age.

• Storage
1) We recommend storing silver in airtight plastic bags or in tarnish-free cloth bags. Ensure the jewelry is clean and completely dry before it goes into the bag and keep in a cool, dark place. Avoid scratching your jewelry by keeping pieces separate so they don't rub or rest on one other.
2) Do not store jewelry directly on wood, metal or paper.

• Cleaning
1) It is best to clean silver on a regular basis. The longer between cleanings, the harder it is to restore the piece to its original lustre. Use a soft treated polish cloth and shine with a lengthways motion, taking care not to rub too briskly as this may scratch the surface. Use a very soft baby toothbrush if you would like to remove tarnish from hard to reach areas. (However, many people like to leave tarnish in the deep grooves as it enhances the shape and character of the piece.)
2) For moderate cleaning you can use a solution of mild soap and warm purified water, then dry thoroughly with a soft polishing cloth or hair dryer.
3) For a heavier cleaning we recommend Hagerty products. Ensure that you follow directions and choose treatments specific to stones, pearls and plain silver. Know that chemical dips will restore shine, but tarnish will occur more quickly after.

• Wearing Silver
1) The best way to keep jewelry tarnish-free is to wear it! Friction and natural oils will preserve the finish. Just make sure to remove all jewelry when using or contacting any chemicals including products that contain bleach (chlorinated water), ammonia (hair dye), alcohol (hairspray, perfume), acetone (nail polish remover). Jewelry should be taken off before swimming, showering, washing dishes or applying make-up.
2) With normal wear and tear, stones and parts may loosen over time. Remember to check for loose stones, clasps or parts and have them repaired as soon as possible -- you don't want to loose your precious piece.
